"Hello everyone my name is Kim, I have Browns Sequard Syndrome which is a tear on the spinal cord. This has affected my life by causing me to limp and fall over. On 5th November 2014, I had an operation to remove a tumour that pushed on my spinal cord, causing it to be pushed outside of the bone. I was told I would be walking in 7 days. After a 3 hour operation turned into a 7 hour operation, I had no use of my legs. It was devastating. The doctors couldn't understand why I had no use of them. I was in intensive care for 3 weeks and in hospital 4 months. The tumour was inconclusive.
I am wanting to raise funds as I have the chance of Stem Cell treatment in Mumbai, India, after been told in England we are too far behind and you would have to go abroad. So I have, I need to raise funds to be able to have this Stem Cell Treatment which will give me the chance to walk again. I am a very determined person and I want so desperately to walk again. I will also need Intensive Physio Therapy to rebuild my muscles when I've had the Stem Cell Treatment.
So please I am asking for help to make this come true and to get me to India, my life has changed so much and I just want to be given that chance to walk again. The money raised will pay for flights, taxi's, insurance, medical visa's, the stem cell treatment and intense physio therapy continued treatment when I get back. Please Please Please donate however small as every penny counts. Thank you."
If you would like to donate to help Kim get to Mumbai, to give her the chance to walk again, then you can do so via GoFundMe or PayPal.
If you would like to do a fundraising event such as bike rides, parachute jumps, music night, or maybe even a coffee morning or meal night, then please get in touch with either Pete or Kim via email at 'email@example.com'
Any donation, no matter how small will help as every penny counts. Please donate. Thank you.
Kim's journey is being supported by Ed Milliband, Caroline Flint, and John Parr, who have all helped spread awareness of Kim's Stem Cell Fund and encouraging people to donate what they can to help Kim's dream come true. Pete and Kim thank you all for your help!
